I Googled My Diagnosis and It Freaked Me Out

Technology has allowed the inquisitive ones among us to immediately look up anything question we may have. But I urge you (and would do the same with medical people) to stop googling. Whatever you read is general. Your individual case and your particular tumor biology is not the same as anyone else’s. I really think reading on the internet or books can be helpful only as guides for questions to ask your doctors, but only as a generalization. Otherwise, googling creates a lot of stress. Remember this is an entirely new vocabulary. The nuances of individual experiences may not be clear.
